Author Guidelines

Prospective authors for PAJAIS publications should follow the Submission Guidelines stored here, and PAJAIS Submission Style document stored here, as Microsoft Word document file.

Articles are to be electronically submitted in PDF format on the PAJAIS online review system. Before submission, the author has to register a personal account and provide personal information. Any article can only be submitted when the author logs in the account. The bodies of articles may include text, figures, and tables only in order to ensure the widest accessibility. The official language of the Journal of AIS is English. In general, articles will be available in PDF versions. Reviews will be double-blind. Authors will not know who reviews their papers and reviewers will not know the names of the authors. The associate editor and senior editor may be aware of the names of authors. Only the chief editor knows the names of all involved. The time required for review will vary, depending on the types of materials being reviewed. However, the average time will not exceed six months. Authors can access the article review status and Reviewers’ comments via the personal account on the PAJAIS online review system.

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in Microsoft Word, RTF, or PDF document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Double Blind have been followed.
  7. One author has been designated as the corresponding author with a contact e-mail address.
